Adopt a Beagle / Mixed (short coat)

Beagle / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Bonnie the Dog needs a home

To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.

Bonnie is a lovely 4-5 year-old Beagle mix who has a great personality and is very friendly with all people that she meets. This chubby girl has obviously enjoyed a few too many treats in her lifetime though and has not been wanting for food. We don’t know anything about her past but she would love a home where she can go on a diet and exercise program to lose those extra 5-10 pounds. Adopt Bonnie and she'll make sure you stick to your exercise routine. She needs an exercise buddy and there’s nothing like a dog to keep you moving and help you stick to a daily routine. Bonnie gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home but can be selective about making friends with new dogs she meets on walks. An obedience class with her new family would help her develop her canine social skills in addition to learning some commands and leash manners. She does have a high prey drive and shows aggression towards cats so must have a kitty-free home. Bonnie has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can't guarantee it. She was perfectly behaved for her bath at Petco and loved all of the attention. Bonnie currently weighs 43 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email [email protected] if you’re interested in Bonnie. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Bonnie and to submit an online application.
